HD.2201: An Act providing for gender-neutral bathrooms

This bill would require that the Uniform State Plumbing Code always allows for gender-neutral bathrooms to be designated or installed in any building either as part of new construction or as part of a renovation. In December of 2023, the Board of Plumbers and Gasfitters changed the plumbing code to allow for gender-neutral bathrooms, this bill would ensure that this is always an option, helping to facilitate their construction and increasing the safety and comfort of all.
