Every bill that is introduced in the state legislature is scheduled for a public hearing within a 2-year session. Committee hearings offer the public an opportunity to submit comment (or testimony) on legislation. Your comments, insight, and experience as it relates to legislation are needed and welcome. You can present your comments in person by attending hearings in the State House, or in writing by e-mailing them to the respective committees, and there may be a virtual online option to join the hearing. You can find tips for writing comment and the schedule for public hearings here. The MA legislature’s website also provides you with information on how to track individual bills.
