  • Fenway Community Health provides a variety of health care services, including primary care providers. Their work centers underserved communities including BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ individuals.

GLAD (Gay and Lesbian Advocates and Defenders): https://www.glad.org/

  • GLAD Law is a leading legal organization that has been involved in several cases defending LGBTQIA+ rights. They continue to challenge anti-LGBTQIA+ laws.

ACLU Massachusetts: https://www.aclum.org/

  • The Massachusetts chapter of the ACLU is a major advocate for LGBTQIA+ rights working to pass laws defending trans and non-binary residents. 

GENERAL SUPPORT AND ADVOCACY

MassEquality: https://massequality.org/

  • MassEquality is a statewide advocacy organization that conducts legislative as well as grassroots lobbying and conducts education and outreach programs. 

Greater Boston PFLAG: https://www.gbpflag.org/

  • The Greater Boston chapter of PFLAG national participates in community events, hosts monthly support groups, publishes a newsletter, responds to requests for advices, and participates in advocacy at the State and local levels. 

Massachusetts Transgender Political Caucus (MTPC): https://www.masstpc.org/

  • MTPC works through advocacy on the state and local levels to protect transgender people across the state. They host a trans leadership academy and identity document assistance network, as well as the REACH program (Relief and Emergency Assistance for Community Hope) which provides trans and nonbinary people with emergency funds  for a variety of expenses. 

YOUTH FOCUSED

GLSEN Massachusetts:  https://www.glsen.org/chapter/massachusetts

  • GLSEN Massachusetts works locally in Massachusetts communities to fight for schools that are safe for all students, regardless of gender identity or sexual orientation. They host events including teacher trainings and events for students and parents. 

BAGLY (Boston Alliance of LGBTQ+ Youth): https://www.bagly.org/youth

  • BAGLY is a youth-led organization that serves LGBTQ+ youth by providing health and wellness programs, free mental health therapy, leadership training, and direct aid for youth struggling with food or housing insecurity. They work with 15 other LGBTQ+ youth serving organizations across the state through the AGLY network.

  • The Mass Commission on LGBTQ youth is a state agency that advises others in state government about policies, practices, and resources needed to support LGBTQ youth. They also help to run the Safe Schools Program with the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education, which addresses bullying faced by LGBTQ children in public schools.
